How do I apply Douglas Oil?
Are you looking for Douglas Oil? Then Osmo is the right choice. Osmo’s Douglas Oil protects against UV radiation, water, and dirt. It is also easy to refresh, and sanding or applying a primer is no longer necessary. This Douglas Oil, specially designed for this popular wood type, is made from 100% natural oils and waxes. It is therefore ideal for protecting your wooden terrace, decking, fences, and garden furniture.
Benefits of Osmo Douglas Oil
- Environmentally friendly oil, made from natural ingredients for sustainable protection
- Transparent finish, allowing the wood grain to remain visible
- The oil penetrates deeply into the wood and is easy to apply
- Preserves the wood’s beautiful natural color
Step-by-step guide for applying Douglas Oil
- Stir the product well for 2 minutes. After opening the can, the oil and wax may be separated. Always test a small area first to ensure the desired result.
- Apply the first layer using a flat brush or floor brush on sanded or untreated wood.
- Mistakes made during application can be corrected within 15 minutes on the wet surface, such as roller marks or brush hairs.
- The first layer dries in approximately 12 hours. At lower temperatures or higher humidity, drying takes longer. Ensure good ventilation at all times. Do not apply during bad weather or rain.
- Apply the second layer of Douglas Oil in the same way as the first layer. For horizontal surfaces, a third layer of Osmo Terrace Oil Anti-Slip can be applied to create a slip-resistant surface.
- Douglas Oil dries quickly in about 12 hours; see point 4 for drying conditions.
