What are your delivery times?

If an order is placed on our website before 4:30 PM on weekdays, it will be shipped the same day. You can expect to receive the product the next day. If a product you ordered is out of stock, it may take longer than one day to be delivered. If a product is out of stock, we will contact you. It's also possible that the order has been delayed by the postal service. You can always check your track and trace code, which was sent by email. If you have any questions about your order, please contact us.

Orders over €75 are shipped and delivered free of charge. For orders under €75, the minimum shipping charge is €4.95.

If you want to return an order, you must register it through our returns portal.Always package the products carefully, as they are susceptible to damage. We also recommend adding a note with your name and order number so we know it came from you.

Yes, all orders from Osmo Netherlands are covered by the statutory warranty. This means that every product must meet the quality and specifications specified for the product.

Do Osmo products have a strong odor?

After curing, your surface will retain only the scent of wood with natural oils and waxes. We use deneutralized methylated spirit as a solvent, as this is not harmful to health, unlike so-called ecological solvents like orange oil. The methylated spirit evaporates completely during drying.

How do I prepare the wood?

Each product page contains instructions for use and, if applicable, a video. Follow these for product-specific information.In general, you can follow these steps for preparation of wooden surfaces:
The surface to be treated should be sanded (along the grain) with 40, 80, and 120 grit sandpaper. Carefully smooth out any scratches or imperfections. Remove all dust with a dry dust cloth before applying the treatment.

What are the best conditions for using Osmo?

The wooden surface must be clean, dry (max. humidity 20%), and frost-free. Outdoors, we recommend choosing a time when it has been dry for two consecutive days.Maximum humidity 50%The desired temperature is 23°C. Colder temperatures will dry more slowly, and warmer temperatures will dry more quickly. Temperatures above 30°C can cause complications during the drying process.Do not cover the surface with rugs or other obstructions for two weeks during drying and/or curing.

Do I need to sand between coats?

It's not necessary to absorb the product, but if the surface is too rough, you can still do so. Lightly sand with a fine grit: 120 to 150 grit for floors and up to 180 grit for furniture.

My floor is still very sticky, what should I do?

Accepted Answer

This means the floor isn't dry yet. This could be due to a temperature that's too low, poor ventilation, or a layer of product that's too thick. Try increasing the temperature in your home and open (small) windows facing each other to ensure a constant flow of oxygen.To be sure, contact customer service and perhaps send photos or videos via email or WhatsApp.

My floor gets scratches easily, why is that?

Why is the color scheme different from the packaging or photo on the website?

Clear finishes can produce a different result depending on the type of wood they're applied to. This color may not always match the color indicated on the packaging. We recommend applying the Osmo color to a small area (which may not be visible later) to test the color. This allows you to see for yourself whether the desired result is achieved.
