Cleaning rollers and brushes

Brushes, microfiber rollers, and other Osmo tools can be cleaned so that the accessories can be used multiple times. Osmo tools stand for quality, making it a waste to use them only once. Therefore, always clean the brushes and rollers after treatment so that they can be used again for a subsequent treatment. This is not only good for your wallet but also for the environment.

Which product to use to clean brushes?

Brushes that have been used to clean oil-based products can be cleaned with the Osmo Brush Cleaner. This cleaner has been specially developed for cleaning tools that have been used during the treatment of Osmo products, as well as oil paint or synthetic resin lacquer.

How should I clean my brushes?

Cleaning brushes and rollers is very easy with the Osmo Brush Cleaner. Pour a small amount into a container or cup. Then place the brushes in the container and let them soak for a few hours. After the time has elapsed, rinse the brushes with water and then dry them. Let the brushes dry thoroughly for a day. After cleaning and drying, the brushes and rollers are ready for use again.

Which brushes can be cleaned?

Stain brushes, (Bankirai) oil brushes, paint brushes, and Osmo brushes can all be cleaned with the Brush Cleaner. This allows the brushes to be used multiple times.

Cleaning brushes with water

Brushes and microfiber rollers that have been used to treat an oil-based product cannot be cleaned with water. Oil and water are not an ideal combination. The water will not contribute to the cleaning process.

Cleaning brushes with turpentine

Cleaning brushes and other application tools with turpentine is also an option. Put the turpentine in a small container and let the brushes soak for a few hours. Then rinse the brushes and dry them with a clean cloth.

Storing Rollers and Brushes

Treating a wooden floor or table usually takes more than one day. Therefore, it is useful to know how to store a brush for an extra day without having to clean it, so that the brush can be used again the next day. Wrap the brush or roller in plastic wrap or place the products in a plastic bag and seal it airtight. Ensure that only the bristles of a brush are wrapped. Then, tape off the handle section. Store the brushes in a dry place. The brushes can be stored in this way for a maximum of 2 days. Do you want to store the brushes longer? Then clean the brushes with the brush cleaner according to the tips above.

Cleaning the paint tray

The Brush Cleaner can also be used to clean a paint tray. Oil-based paint cannot be removed from a paint tray with water. For this, the Osmo Brush Cleaner or turpentine is required.
