Teak oil for outdoor use
Outdoor garden furniture is quickly affected by weather conditions such as mold, graying, and wood rot. Teak oil is the solution for protecting teak garden furniture, patios, decking, and fences. We recommend Osmo Terrace Oil for this purpose. This oil contains pigment and provides long-lasting protection against UV rays. It also prevents graying, thereby extending the lifespan of the teak wood. Preferably apply the oil to bare wood with a brush.
Outdoor usage instructions
The appearance and adhesion of our products may vary depending on the type of wood, surface, and application method. Therefore, we recommend testing our products beforehand using a sample.
- Stir the product well for 2 minutes. After opening the can, the Oil and Wax have separated.
- Apply the first coat of Terrace Oil to the new or sanded wood using a brush or block brush.
- Mistakes made during application can be corrected on the wet surface up to 15 minutes after application. This includes brush hairs.
- The first coat takes approximately 12 hours to dry. Drying takes longer at lower temperatures or higher humidity. Therefore, ensure that it is not applied during bad weather or rain.
- Apply the second coat of Terrace Oil. Apply this in the same way as the first coat.
- Osmo Terrace Oil Anti-Slip can be applied as a third coat to create an anti-slip surface. Drying in approx. 12 hours; see point 4.

Teak oil for indoor use
To treat teak furniture indoors, we recommend using Osmo TopOil. This finish protects your teak table or furniture against moisture and dirt. Thanks to Osmo TopOil, the surface remains well protected for years and is easy to maintain and clean. TopOil is specially developed for easy application with a polishing cloth. This makes it perfect for hardwoods such as teak. The colorless teak oil creates a wet look, which deepens the natural color of the wood.

Indoor usage instructions
The appearance and adhesion of our products may vary depending on the type of wood, surface, and application method. Therefore, we recommend testing the products beforehand using a sample.
- Shake the product well for 2 minutes. After opening the can, the oil and wax will have separated.
- Apply the first coat of TopOil to the new or sanded wood using a white pad or brush. Ensure that you apply the product along the grain.
- Buff the TopOil dry with the fleece pad within 20 minutes. Do this along the grain as well. Mistakes made during application can be corrected on the wet surface up to 30 minutes after application.
- The first coat takes approximately 8-10 hours to dry. Drying takes longer at lower temperatures or higher humidity. Good ventilation must be ensured at all times. Therefore, ensure that windows and doors remain open both during and after the treatment.
- Next, apply 3 more layers (4 in total) in the same way as the first layer. The color becomes more intense with each layer. Finish the color layer with a colorless layer. This means 1 color layer is 3 colorless layers, 2 color layers is 2 colorless layers, and 3 color layers is 1 colorless layer.
- TopOil takes approximately 8-10 hours to dry.If you are going to polish the surface, it is important to apply 4 layers. This is to adequately protect the surface against moisture.
