Extremely weather-resistant and UV-protective wood finish for treating exterior wood. Osmo Opaque Stain is a breathable and water-repellent product. Once dry, the stain is safe for humans, animals, and plants, and is also suitable for treating children's toys such as playground equipment. Osmo Opaque Stain is suitable for treating almost all exterior wood, such as facades, fences, gates, garden sheds, garden furniture, and carports. The Opaque Stain is not suitable for patios and decking. Osmo Opaque Stain dries after just 3 to 4 hours. This means the wood can be treated with two coats in one day.

Water-Based Opaque Stain

This Osmo stain is water-based. This makes it easy to apply and quick-drying. Despite being water-based, it provides excellent protection against water and dirt. The stain will not flake or crack. Applying a renovation coat to wood is very easy; no sanding is required.

Sprayable Stain

Because Osmo Opaque Stain is water-based, it can be sprayed onto the wood. This is an easy and quick way to apply the stain. Of course, the product can also be applied with an Osmo microfiber roller or brush.

Available in 0.75L and 2.5L sizes.
1L is sufficient for approximately 16 m² with one coat.

Note: Rough, old, or untreated wood often absorbs more product, so you will need more Osmo Opaque Stain than recommended.

Clothes used for applying or buffing the Country House Paint must be rinsed with water as they carry a risk of spontaneous combustion. Therefore, always rinse the cloths with water before disposing of them in the trash.

Tip: Always purchase slightly more product than the recommended square meters. You can maintain and refinish the surface with the Opaque Stain.

Note: For surfaces already treated with Osmo or another brand or product, always perform a test first. For renovations, it's always recommended to apply a maximum of one coat. If you apply more than one coat, there's a chance the second coat won't adhere, making it easy to scratch off. You can find instructions on how to perform a test in the FAQs.
