Osmo Hardwax-Olie Metallic

A transparent finish that gives a metallic effect to dark woods and dark-stained wood. It combines all the benefits of oils and waxes in one unique product. Osmo Hardwax-Oil Effect Metallic is water and dirt resistant, wear-resistant, and provides a grippy surface. Available in Silver or Gold Metallic Effect.
Osmo Hardwax-Oil Effect Metallic is ideal for the decorative finish of dark wood floors (smoked oak, walnut, wenge) or darkened wood floors, such as solid wood floors, plank floors, ship decking, and dark furniture surfaces. For light woods, it is recommended to first apply Decorwax 3169 black. The instructions explain the step-by-step application of Decorwax and Hardwax-Oil Metallic.

After applying a very thin layer of Hardwax-Oil Effect Metallic, we recommend finishing the second layer with Osmo Hardwax-Oil Original Colorless. If the colorless layer wears off in the future, the color layer will remain. It can then be easily touched up with a colorless maintenance product without any color difference.

Hardwax Oil Metallic Gold/Silver Protection

Due to its open-pore structure, Hardwax Oil Metallic will not crack, peel, or flake. The product is resistant to moisture such as wine, cola, coffee, and fruit juice; no water stains will appear on the wood after treatment. Once dry, Hardwax Oil is safe for humans, animals, and plants, and is also suitable for treating children's toys.

Available in sizes: 0.125L – 0.75L – 2.5L
1L is approximately sufficient for 30 m² with one coat.

Note: For surfaces already treated with Osmo or another brand or product, always perform a test first. For renovations, it is always recommended to apply a maximum of one coat. When applying multiple coats, there's a chance the second coat won't adhere, making it easy to scratch off. You can find instructions on how to perform a test in the FAQs.

Note: Cloths used for applying or buffing Hardwax-Oil Metallic must be rinsed with water as they pose a risk of spontaneous combustion. Therefore, always rinse cloths with water before disposing of them in the trash.
