Black spots remover

The Osmo Tannin Spot Remover removes black tannin/tannic acid from untreated or oiled surfaces. The Tannin Spot Remover is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and can be used on surfaces such as floors, furniture, countertops, and bathroom cabinets.

The spray is suitable for tannic acid-containing woods such as oak. Other wood types are also suitable, such as mahogany, walnut, cherry, and red cedar.

Note: The stain must be tannin-containing. If you want to remove a water stain, we recommend trying the Osmo Intensive Cleaner.
To see if the Tannin Spot Remover is effective, we recommend first testing it directly on the wood. If this doesn't work, sand the plank with the stain on a floor first. A previous treatment may have sealed the stain from the Tannin Spot Remover.

Warning: Not suitable for use on smoked wood. It will clear the surface of the smoaked look.

Osmo Tip for using Tannin Spot Remover:

If the surface has already been treated with oil, it can be touched up with Osmo Maintenance Oil after removing the stain. For outdoor use, touch up with the original surface treatment.
If the surface is untreated, it can be treated with an Osmo treatment after removing the stain.
In some cases, the black stain has penetrated so deeply that Tannin Spot Remover will not (completely) remove it. In that case, the treatment will need to be repeated. If this is still insufficient, the stain should be sanded away.
Usage: 1 liter is sufficient for approximately 10 m².
