Osmo TopOil: the best choice for coloring and protecting small surfaces

Osmo TopOil is an oil- and wax-based product available in seven different colors. It offers excellent protection against water, beer, wine, and other liquids and is suitable for use on wooden furniture, kitchens, countertops, and worktops, among other surfaces.

TopOil can be applied with a roller or brush. Apply two thin coats. Prefer to polish? Apply three to four coats with Osmo Pads. More information about application can be found under "Instructions for Use."
TopOil is suitable for almost all wood types, but is not recommended for tropical wood. In that case, choose Osmo clear wax.

Different looks with TopOil

There are seven versions of TopOil, five of which are colored, and the other two are colorless. By wetting the untreated wood surface, you can get an idea of ​​the look after treatment with Osmo TopOil 3058 and 3028 (these are the colorless versions). After this treatment, a permanent wet look is created.

Another popular look is the untreated effect. To create this look, use two different TopOils.

Steps for the untreated effect:

1. For the first coat, use 3068 (this version contains a small amount of white pigment).
2. For the second coat, use a colorless version of TopOil. This combination ensures that the wood remains light.
3. Prefer to polish? Then choose two coats of 3068 and two coats of colorless. Note: this is only suitable for light wood types.

Prefer a different color option? Including 3037, 3038, 3039, or 3061. Follow these steps:

1. For the first coat, use a color option of your choice.
2. For the second coat, use a colorless version of TopOil. This will make it easier to touch up in the future without creating color variations.

Maintenance

After treating your wood with TopOil, it's important to maintain it properly. You can easily do this with the Osmo Spray Cleaner. This maintenance and cleaning product is perfect for smaller wooden surfaces.

Food Safe

Osmo TopOil carries the Food Safe quality mark. This means that your table and countertop are safe to eat from after the TopOil has dried. This also makes the product suitable for use on appetizer and cutting boards.
