Osmo Transparent Wood Finish 000 is a colorless, semi-gloss wood treatment based on a natural oil base for exterior wood. The Transparent Wood Finish is porous, allowing the wood to breathe and reducing swelling and shrinkage. It is water-repellent and will not crack, chip, or peel. The Transparent Wood Finish penetrates deeply into the wood, smoothing the surface even with a single coat. A primer is not required.

Osmo Transparent Wood Finish can be used as a base coat or as a top coat. It is always recommended to use the product in combination with an Osmo exterior product containing color pigment, as this provides protection against UV radiation. The Osmo Transparent Wood Finish is colorless and therefore does not provide UV protection. The dried finish is safe for humans, animals, and plants (saliva and perspiration according to DIN 53160, suitable for children's toys according to EN 71.3).

Available sizes: 0.75L and 2.5L
1L is approximately sufficient for one coat of 16 m².

Note: Rough, old, or untreated wood often absorbs more product, requiring more Transparent Wood Finish than recommended. For new wood, we recommend allowing it to weather for at least six weeks. This will ensure the wood is more resistant to outdoor conditions. After weathering, the wood can be degreyed with Osmo Wood Greying Agent.

Clothes used for applying or buffing the Transparent Wood Finish must be rinsed with water as they carry a risk of spontaneous combustion. Therefore, always rinse the cloths with water before disposing of them in the trash.

Tip: Always purchase slightly more product than the recommended square meters. You can maintain and retouch the surface with the finish.
