How long does curing take?

Instantly. As soon as the surface has been exposed to the included UV LED SmartLight Pro, the wood is fully load-bearing and can be stacked or handled straight away.

Is this system safe to use?

The lamp emits intensive UV light during use, which can damage eyes and skin. Always wear the supplied UV safety glasses, never look directly into the switched-on lamp, and never point it at people or animals. Once cured, the oil itself is safe for people, animals and plants, and complies with DIN EN 71.3 for children's toys.

How long does the oil keep?

6 months, if stored in its original, sealed container and protected from temperatures above 30°C.

What warranty applies to the lamp?

The LED light source carries a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase, valid under normal use. Damage from misuse, modification or excessive/continuous use is excluded.

What colours is the oil available in?

12 colours, from colourless to matt black. The starter kit includes the colourless oil (0.75 kg) plus 4 colour samples (White, Natural, Antique Oak, Charcoal) to test first.

Osmo LED Smart-Oil is a wood finishing system that cures instantly under the included UV LED SmartLight Pro. As soon as the finish has been exposed to the lamp, the wood is fully load-bearing and ready for further handling, with no waiting time. The result is a microporous, matt surface with increased wear resistance.
