For a wash effect, apply the Decorwas with one coat of polish. For a more opaque effect, apply two coats of Decorwas with polish. For long-lasting protection, apply clear Hardwax-Olie over the Decorwas. With one coat of Decorwas, we recommend applying two coats of Hardwax-Olie Original. With two coats of Decorwas, we recommend applying one coat of clear Hardwax-Olie.

We recommend this because we believe that Decorwas alone doesn't provide sufficient protection against wear. Finishing with Hardwax-Olie will extend the life of your wooden surface. Over time, the surface will wear into the clear layer, making it easy to touch up with a clear product without causing any discoloration.

How do I apply the Decorwas?

You can polish with a white pad in a circular motion. Then, within 20 minutes, remove the excess product with a fleece pad or Easy Pad Polishing Cloths, working along the plank and the wood grain. This prevents streaks. Read the instructions for the exact application steps.

Approximately 24 hours at approximately 20°C and 50% relative humidity. At lower temperatures or higher humidity, drying takes longer. The product must dry naturally. Therefore, ensure good ventilation at all times, so make sure to open windows and doors after treatment.

Yes, for localized scratches or worn areas, you can tape off the affected plank and sand it with 120 grit. Then check if the plank is even. If so, you can apply a new coat of Hardwax-Olie Original. Some color may also be sanded away. Apply another coat of Decorwas with a lint-free cloth and then buff away the excess product for 20 minutes, working in the direction of the wood grain. The top coat can then be treated with Hardwax-Olie Original. If the plank requires a coarser sanding, you can do so first with 40 grit, then 80 grit, and finish with 120 grit. Then, apply a coat of Decorwas and the second coat of Hardwax-Olie Original.

How do I clean brushes, pads, and rollers?

You can do this with Osmo Kwastenreiniger. Place the Kwastenreiniger in a small container or cup. Let the brushes soak for a few hours and then rinse the tools with water.
