Anthracite exterior wood paint

A popular color for finishing exterior wood is Anthracite. The Anthracite color is characterized by its deep, dark grey tone. The Osmo range includes the color variant 2703 Anthracite. So if you are looking for an exterior wood paint in Anthracite, then Landhuisverf 2703 Anthracite is the right product.

Are you looking for a lighter shade of grey? Then 2716 Anthracite grey, 2704 Stone grey, or 2735 Light grey might be the right choice. To make choosing a color easier, we offer test samples in our range. With these small packages, you can easily test the color on the wood, so you never face unexpected color results.

Best exterior wood paint

The best exterior wood paint is Osmo Landhuisverf. This opaque exterior paint for wood is made based on natural plant-based oils (sunflower oil, soybean oil, and thistle oil). After drying, the product is harmless to humans, animals, and plants, and can therefore be applied to all exterior wood.

With the treatment, the wood color and grain are covered, while the structure of the wood remains visible. Landhuisverf allows the wood to breathe after treatment and reduces expansion and shrinkage. In addition, the treatment is water-repellent and does not crack, peel, or flake. It also provides protection against UV radiation from the sun.

For renovation, it is easy to apply without sanding. Landhuisverf can also be applied without a primer.

Applying exterior paint to wood

Apply evenly and thinly using the Osmo brush or Microfibre roller in the direction of the wood grain on clean and dry wood. Allow to dry for 10–12 hours with good ventilation, ensuring the wood does not get wet during the drying process. After drying, apply a second thin coat in the same way and with the same drying time.

For renovation, applying one coat on a clean and dry surface is usually sufficient.

Treating greyed wood with exterior paint

Is the wood you want to treat greyed due to UV radiation from the sun? Then it is recommended to first restore the wood. For this, Osmo Power-Gel is the right product. Power-Gel removes the grey color from the wood and brings back the natural wood tone. After restoring, the wood is ready to be treated with Osmo Landhuisverf.

In addition to restoring, Power-Gel can also be used on previously treated wood. It also removes green deposits, algae, and fungi. The product can also be used for renovation. Before applying a new layer of Landhuisverf, the wood can therefore be cleaned with Power-Gel.
