How do I paint my window frame?

With Osmo Decorwax Creativ you can easily give your wooden frames a new look while simultaneously protecting them long-lasting against moisture, dirt, and damage. After just one coat of Osmo, your frames will look as good as new. Osmo Decorwax Creativ is available in various colors. You can order the frame paint pre-mixed in one of the 186 RAL and 1950 NCS colors. There is always a color that suits your needs. Go for black, matte white, or even flame-red frames, for example. The choice is yours!

Why not window frame paint?
Much as we would like it, unfortunately, there is no such thing as a maintenance-free wooden window frame. A wooden frame requires some maintenance every so often. Frame paint might seem like a good option for this, but we think differently. At Osmo Netherlands, we do not sell frame paint. This is because we believe that frame paint does not sufficiently protect the wood of your frames against damage, discoloration, and wood rot. We do, however, sell colored wood treatments that resemble paint. These treatments contain only natural ingredients that protect the wood much longer than frame paint.

Do you enjoy painting your interior window frames in a splash of color? Osmo Decorwax Creativ is perfectly suited for painting interior frames. Decorwax Creativ contains a colored oil and wax combination that allows you to easily color a frame. The colors of Decorwax Creativ can be mixed endlessly, so there is always a color that suits your needs. However, simply applying Osmo Decorwax does not offer sufficient protection against all the moisture and dirt your frames are exposed to. To provide your frames with optimal protection, the surface must also be treated with a layer of Osmo Hardwax Oil after applying Decorwax Creativ. Only then will your frames be optimally protected.
