Osmo Deur-Olie 3033 Raw matt is a matt finish based on oil and wax for interior wooden doors and frames, designed for light wood species. A small amount of white pigment prevents a wet look: the light colour of the sanded wood is preserved. After treatment the door resists dirt, water, wine and coffee, and the surface will not crack, split or flake. Allow 24 hours drying time per coat. Scratches can later be sanded locally with 120 grit, after which you apply a fresh coat. Test on an offcut first.
Description
Osmo Deur-Olie is suitable for treating interior wooden doors. This colorless, transparent product uniquely combines the benefits of natural oils and waxes in a single product. Osmo Deur-Olie is resistant to dirt, water, and wear. It is easy to apply, and sanding between coats is not necessary. Osmo Deur-Olie is suitable for treating wood; the microporous surface will not crack, split, or peel. After treatment, the door is resistant to wine, coffee, and water. Once dry, the wood is safe for humans, animals, and plants.
Deur-Olie Variants
There are two versions of Osmo Deur-Olie. 3060 is a colorless version that deepens the color of the wood after treatment, also known as a wet-look effect. This means it colors as if it has been wetted. There is also Deur-Olie 3033 Raw, which contains a small amount of white pigment. This ensures that light wood types remain light in color. Applying 3033 Raw does not create a wet look. The light color of the sanded wood is retained.
For doors made of tropical hardwoods, Osmo Nederland offers Osmo Blanke Was. This product is specially formulated for tropical woods.
