Apply TopOil 3061
TopOil 3061 can be applied in two ways: by buffing or rolling. Both methods are described below.
Applying with a brush or microfiber roller
1. Shake the TopOil well for 2 minutes. After opening the can, the Oil and Wax are separated.
2. Apply the first layer of TopOil 3061 thinly with a roller or brush to the new or sanded wood.
3. Mistakes made during application can be corrected on the wet surface up to 30 minutes after application. This includes roller marks or brush hairs.
4. The first layer takes approximately 8-10 hours to dry (at 23 degrees and 50% relative humidity). Drying takes longer at lower temperatures or higher humidity. Ensure good ventilation at all times. Therefore, make sure windows and doors are open. 5. Apply the second coat in the same way as in point 2 (thin). If TopOil 3061 was chosen for the first coat, it is recommended to finish the second coat with a colorless variant (3028 or 3058). This ensures that the wood is easy to touch up without creating a color difference. When choosing to apply 2 coats of 3061, the surface becomes more intense in terms of coloring.
6. The drying time for TopOil is approximately 8-10 hours.
Application with a pad or polishing cloth
1. Shake the TopOil well for 2 minutes. After opening the can, the Oil and Wax have separated.
2. Apply the first coat of TopOil to the new or sanded wood using a white pad or polishing cloth, and then buff it out with a white pad. Do this along the grain of the wood.
3. Within 20 minutes, dry-buff the TopOil with the fleece pad or polishing cloth. Also apply this along the wood grain. This ensures that not too much product is applied.
4. Mistakes made during application can be corrected on the wet surface up to 30 minutes after application. Think of roller marks or brush hairs.
5. The drying time for the first coat is approximately 8-10 hours (at 23 degrees and 50% relative humidity). Drying takes longer at lower temperatures or higher humidity. Good ventilation must be ensured at all times. Therefore, make sure windows and doors are open.
6. Apply the second, third, and even fourth coat in the same way as the first coat.
7. TopOil takes approximately 8-10 hours to dry.
If you are going to polish the surface, it is important to apply 3 to 4 coats. This is to adequately protect the surface against moisture, etc.
