How should I prepare the wood?

If exterior wood has turned grey, it is recommended to restore it first. This ensures that the natural colour of the wood comes back to the surface. If this is not done, the grey colour will remain underneath the oil and a grey tint will continue to be visible. The wood can be restored using Osmo Power-Gel.For new wood, it is advised to let the wood weather for at least 4 to 6 weeks first. This ensures that the wood becomes more resistant to outdoor conditions. After weathering, the wood can be restored with Osmo Power-Gel Hout Ontgrijzer and then treated with Landhuisverf.

On which surfaces can Landhuisverf be applied?

Landhuisverf is suitable for all wood species outdoors, such as cladding, fences, windows, doors, shutters, garden sheds, carports, pergolas and garden furniture. For surfaces that are walked on, such as decking and outdoor stairs, we recommend Osmo Terras-Olie in a wood tone.

In which direction of the wood do I apply the product?

Apply the product in the direction of the wood grain. Then brush the product out well along the plank and the grain.

What gloss level does Landhuisverf have?

Landhuisverf dries to a satin finish. Prefer a matte look? Then use Landhuisverf as the first coat and the colorless Natuurlijke Olie-Beits 701 Kleurloos mat as the second coat.

Osmo Landhuisverf 2308 Scandinavisch rood is an opaque exterior paint in a red shade reminiscent of Scandinavian wooden houses, suitable for garden sheds, fences and carports. The wood structure remains visible beneath the opaque colour. Apply two coats; one litre covers about 26 m² per coat. Because the paint does not flake, you can touch up areas later without sanding. So buy a little more than you need for maintenance. Test the colour first on an offcut or with a sample.
