How should I prepare the wood?

If exterior wood has turned grey, it is recommended to restore it first. This ensures that the natural colour of the wood comes back to the surface. If this is not done, the grey colour will remain underneath the oil and a grey tint will continue to be visible. The wood can be restored using Osmo Power-Gel.For new wood, it is advised to let the wood weather for at least 4 to 6 weeks first. This ensures that the wood becomes more resistant to outdoor conditions. After weathering, the wood can be restored with Osmo Power-Gel Hout Ontgrijzer and then treated with Landhuisverf.

On which surfaces can Landhuisverf be applied?

Landhuisverf is suitable for all wood species outdoors, such as cladding, fences, windows, doors, shutters, garden sheds, carports, pergolas and garden furniture. For surfaces that are walked on, such as decking and outdoor stairs, we recommend Osmo Terras-Olie in a wood tone.

In which direction of the wood do I apply the product?

Apply the product in the direction of the wood grain. Then brush the product out well along the plank and the grain.

What gloss level does Landhuisverf have?

Landhuisverf dries to a satin finish. Prefer a matte look? Then use Landhuisverf as the first coat and the colorless Natuurlijke Olie-Beits 701 Kleurloos mat as the second coat.

The colour covers the wood while the wood structure remains visible. Apply two coats; allow about 26 m² per litre per coat. Always rinse cloths used for application with water before throwing them away, as they can self-ignite. Test the colour first on an offcut or with a sample.

Not intended for decking or outdoor stairs. The surface is resistant to water and dirt.

Osmo Landhuisverf is ideal for both new wood and previously treated wood. After application, the wood structure remains visible while achieving an opaque finish. The surface becomes resistant to all weather conditions and is harmless to humans, animals and plants after drying.
