Osmo UV-Beschermingsolie 425 Eiken gives vertical exterior wood, such as doors, shutters, windows and carports, a tone that resembles oak and protects against UV radiation, water and the weather. The colour is named after oak, but is suitable for any wood species. If you want to keep the wood light instead, choose 432 Eiken licht. Apply one coat of 425 with a second coat of 420 clear. If the wood has turned grey, treat it first with Osmo Power-Gel Houtontgrijzer. Always test on an offcut first.
Description
Silk-matt protection based on natural oils for exterior wood, available clear and in 8 colours. The colour names refer to the shade, not to the wood species it is meant for.
Ideal for all vertical exterior wood such as fences, cladding, doors, windows, shutters, carports, pergolas, posts and garden sheds. Not suitable for horizontal surfaces where water can remain, such as decking, outdoor stairs or garden furniture. For decking, use Osmo Terras-Olie.
Microporous, allows the wood to breathe and reduces swelling and shrinking. Water-repellent, does not crack, peel or flake.
UV-Beschermingsolie significantly extends the renovation interval for previously coloured and treated wood. With two coats, the greying process of vertical surfaces is prevented with UV protection factor 12 compared to untreated wood.
The finish contains active ingredients that protect against fungi, algae and mould.
