Osmo UV-Beschermingsolie 428 Red cedar gives vertical exterior wood, such as cladding, fences and shutters, a tone that resembles red cedar and protects against UV radiation and the weather. The colour is named after red cedar, but works on any wood species. If you want to keep red cedar light instead, choose 431 Red Cedar licht. Apply one colour coat and finish with 420 clear. Rough or old wood often absorbs more oil than the usual 18 m² per litre. Test on an offcut first.
Description
Silk-matt protection based on natural oils for exterior wood, available clear and in 8 colours. The colour names refer to the shade, not to the wood species it is meant for.
Ideal for all vertical exterior wood such as fences, cladding, doors, windows, shutters, carports, pergolas, posts and garden sheds. Not suitable for horizontal surfaces where water can remain, such as decking, outdoor stairs or garden furniture. For decking, use Osmo Terras-Olie.
Microporous, allows the wood to breathe and reduces swelling and shrinking. Water-repellent, does not crack, peel or flake.
UV-Beschermingsolie significantly extends the renovation interval for previously coloured and treated wood. With two coats, the greying process of vertical surfaces is prevented with UV protection factor 12 compared to untreated wood.
The finish contains active ingredients that protect against fungi, algae and mould.
