Osmo UV-Beschermingsolie 427 Douglas is a light colour for vertical exterior wood, designed to keep Douglas fir light. Think of Douglas fir cladding, fences and garden sheds, although you can use the colour on any wood species. The oil protects against UV radiation and moisture and slows down greying. Apply one coat of 427 with a second coat of 420 clear. Let new wood weather for at least 6 weeks first. Always do a test on an offcut first.
Description
Silk-matt protection based on natural oils for exterior wood, available clear and in 8 colours. The colour names refer to the shade, not to the wood species it is meant for.
Ideal for all vertical exterior wood such as fences, cladding, doors, windows, shutters, carports, pergolas, posts and garden sheds. Not suitable for horizontal surfaces where water can remain, such as decking, outdoor stairs or garden furniture. For decking, use Osmo Terras-Olie.
Microporous, allows the wood to breathe and reduces swelling and shrinking. Water-repellent, does not crack, peel or flake.
UV-Beschermingsolie significantly extends the renovation interval for previously coloured and treated wood. With two coats, the greying process of vertical surfaces is prevented with UV protection factor 12 compared to untreated wood.
