Osmo UV-Beschermingsolie 426 Lariks is a coloured oil for vertical exterior wood, in a tone that resembles larch. It is intended for cladding, fences, doors and garden sheds, and not for horizontal surfaces such as decking, because standing water can make the coat crack. Despite the name, you can use it on any wood species. Apply one colour coat followed by a coat of 420 clear; allow about 18 m² per litre per coat. Test the colour on an offcut first.
Description
Silk-matt protection based on natural oils for exterior wood, available clear and in 8 colours. The colour names refer to the shade, not to the wood species it is meant for.
Ideal for all vertical exterior wood such as fences, cladding, doors, windows, shutters, carports, pergolas, posts and garden sheds. Not suitable for horizontal surfaces where water can remain, such as decking, outdoor stairs or garden furniture. For decking, use Osmo Terras-Olie.
Microporous, allows the wood to breathe and reduces swelling and shrinking. Water-repellent, does not crack, peel or flake.
UV-Beschermingsolie significantly extends the renovation interval for previously coloured and treated wood. With two coats, the greying process of vertical surfaces is prevented with UV protection factor 12 compared to untreated wood.
