Osmo Blanke Was
Osmo Clear Wax is the product for treating hardwood and tropical woods. These are generally darker woods, which are greasier than other types of wood. Examples of these woods include Meranti, Wenge, and Merbau. In the "Documents" section, you will find the different wood types and the recommended finish for your type. Hardwoods (tropical woods) often have the tendency to absorb products like Osmo Hardwax-Oil with greater difficulty. Therefore, Osmo developed Clear Wax, which is suitable for most hardwoods. Osmo Clear Wax is an oil- and wax-based product, but with a minimal wax content. This is beneficial for hardwoods, as they are naturally somewhat greasier. The small wax content makes it easier for hardwoods to absorb the Clear Wax. Due to its excellent water-repellent properties, it is also very suitable for treating wood in damp areas, such as kitchens, bathrooms, and swimming pools. After treatment, the hardwood oil protects against wear, dirt, and moisture and can be reapplied locally. Important: Always test the wood surface first to ensure the floor absorbs the product well and to determine the desired result. One liter is sufficient for approximately 24 m² with one coat; this depends greatly on the wood type.

Wooden Cutting Board Oil Osmo Cutting Board Oil is suitable for treating all types of wooden cutting boards. The oil is certified "Food Safe," meaning that once the oil has dried, it is safe to consume from the cutting board without any risk of harm. The ingredients of this product are based on natural plant oils and waxes and are therefore harmless to humans, animals, and plants after drying. Because the ingredients are natural, the treatment has an open-pore structure that allows the wood to breathe. The wood is not sealed after treatment. Osmo Netherlands Cutting Board Oil 3099 is colorless and dries matte. After treatment, the wood has a matte sheen, as if it had been wetted. This makes the wood's grain beautifully visible, and the color of the wood is deepened. After treating the wooden cutting board with the oil, it is protected against moisture such as water, fruit juice, cola, and coffee. Cleaning a wooden cutting board After using a wooden cutting board to cut meat, fish, or vegetables, it's always a good idea to clean it. Because Cutting Board Oil is resistant to water and chemicals, it can be cleaned with water and dish soap. Occasionally cleaning the cutting board with Spray Cleaner will nourish the treatment and the wood, preventing it from drying out. This is because Spray Cleaner contains oil-based soaps.

Osmo Wood Protector 4006 is a colorless, microporous impregnation based on natural oils and waxes without biocides or preservatives. Osmo Wood Protector is highly water-repellent and, once dry, safe for humans, animals, and plants. The product is also suitable for treating and protecting children's toys. Using Wood Protector Osmo Wood Protector 4006 is suitable for all indoor wood, such as floors, furniture, and windows. It is especially suitable for wood that is susceptible to mold, for example, wood that will be located in damp areas such as bathrooms. The Wood Protector is also suitable for treating outdoor wood that is susceptible to mold. Wood Protector 4006 is a colorless product and colors the wood as if it were wetted, deepening the color of the wood. Note: Osmo Wood Protector 4006 must always be used with a topcoat. Osmo Hardwax-Oil Express is water and dirt resistant, wear-resistant, and provides a grippy surface. Compared to other finishes, the natural plant oils and waxes ensure a consistent color and a harmonious, smooth surface. Easy to apply, requiring no sanding. Its open-pore structure prevents the finish from cracking, peeling, or flaking. Resistant to wine, beer, coffee, and other liquids. Once dry, the finish is safe for humans, animals, and plants. Osmo Hardwax-Oil Express is ideal for finishing all wood floors, such as solid wood, plank floors, ship decking, OSB and cork floors, and all furniture surfaces. Hardwax-Oil Express Drying Time The Express dries within 2 to 3 hours (at the correct temperature of 23°C and 50% humidity). Lower temperatures and/or higher humidity may increase the drying time. Applying too much can also increase the drying time. Adding Osmo Hardener 6632 can shorten the drying time of this product to 1 to 2 hours. Osmo Hardener 6632 This hardener can be added to Osmo Hardwax-Oil Express to accelerate the drying time to 1 to 2 hours. Please note: after adding the hardener to the Hardwax-Oil Express, the Hardwax-Oil should not be left for longer than 90 minutes. Note: 0.15L of hardener is just enough for 2.5L of Hardwax-Oil Express. If you want to use less Hardwax-Oil, add 6% of the hardener to the product. The pot life after adding the hardener is 90 minutes.

Osmo 2K Wood Oil is suitable for treating all wooden floors and parquet floors. It is available in 11 varieties, including one colorless version, all of which dry matte. Oil for suar indoors
For suar indoors, use Osmo TopOil on table tops and furniture and Osmo Hardwax-Olie Original on larger surfaces. Suar has wide, irregular grain and a strong contrast between light and dark wood, and an oil soaks into it and brings out that pattern well.
Which oil for which suar surface
Suar is mainly used for live edge tables, coffee tables and benches. For a dining table, choose TopOil: food safe, resistant to coffee, wine and water, and easy to touch up locally. For a wall panel or another large surface, you can also use Hardwax-Olie Original, in two thin coats.
Wide grain and small cracks
The open, wide grain of suar absorbs a lot of oil. Apply the oil thinly, let it soak in and buff off the excess before it dries, so that no sticky patches are left in the pores. Suar is prone to small shrinkage cracks if it is kept too dry. So finish the whole top, including the underside and the end grain, and do not place a table right next to the radiator.
Suar with epoxy
Many suar tables have a river or filling of epoxy. If you want a glossy finish across the whole table, Hardwax-Olie Original 3011 gloss is also used on epoxy tables. On the darker wood, it is better not to choose 3062 matt, because it can leave a white haze on dark surfaces. Always test on an inconspicuous spot first.
Maintaining oiled suar
Keep a suar table clean with the Spray-Cleaner. For maintaining a table top there is the Tafel & Keuken onderhoudsset. Touch up small scratches or dull spots locally with a thin coat of TopOil.
