Oil for wooden furniture
Finish indoor wooden furniture with Osmo TopOil. It combines natural oils and waxes, penetrates the wood and feels warm and natural. The furniture becomes resistant to moisture and dirt, and you can touch up any damage locally.
TopOil: the furniture oil
TopOil is also known as furniture oil. It is made for cupboards, sideboards, tables and tops that come into contact with coffee, wine or water, and is food-safe once dry. Apply two thin coats with a brush, or three to four coats with a pad or cloth. Read more about the wooden table.
Furniture with colour
For colour, choose coloured TopOil, such as 3061 Acacia, 3038 Terra or 3039 Grafiet, finished with clear TopOil. A pigmented colour also helps limit discolouration caused by light. For a wood tint in the grain, buff in one coat of Decorwas Transparant with two coats of Hardwax-Olie Original on top. For the inside of a cupboard, Decorwas alone can be enough.
Dark and tropical wood
On dark or tropical wood, a fully matt oil can leave a grey or white haze. Preferably choose a satin matt version there, such as TopOil 3028. On oily tropical wood species, apply TopOil by buffing it in thin coats with a pad or lint-free cloth. For specific wood species, see oak indoors or teak indoors.
Maintenance
Remove dust and stains with the Spray-Cleaner. Refresh worn patches on a top or armrest with the Vloeibare Onderhoudswas. For tables and kitchen furniture there is the Tafel & Keuken onderhoudsset. Use coasters under glasses and pots, especially in the first few weeks while the oil is still curing.
