Oil for wooden kitchen cabinet fronts
Finish wooden kitchen cabinet fronts with Osmo TopOil. Fronts are touched every day, especially around the handles, and get splashed during cooking and washing up. A well-absorbed oil makes the wood dirt- and water-repellent and is easier to touch up than varnish.
TopOil for the kitchen
TopOil is made for kitchens, furniture and worktops. It is resistant to moisture, grease and stains and food-safe once dry. Apply two thin coats with a brush or roller, or buff on three to four coats with a pad. That way you use the same product for the fronts and the kitchen countertop.
Coloured fronts
To give the fronts a colour, choose coloured TopOil, such as 3037 Wit, 3038 Terra or 3039 Grafiet. First apply a coloured coat and finish with clear TopOil 3028 or 3058. For a light, untreated look on light wood, there is 3068 Natural. A pigmented colour also helps to limit discolouration of the wood. Always test a colour on the back of a front first.
Handles and edges
Grease from hands and food builds up mainly around the handles and along the bottom edge of the fronts. So treat the edges thoroughly too. Remove the fronts if you can, so you can work on them lying flat and avoid drips. Always buff away excess oil after a few minutes with a lint-free cloth. Let each coat dry thoroughly before rehanging the fronts.
Maintenance
Clean the fronts with the Spray-Cleaner. Refresh dull patches around the handles with the Vloeibare Onderhoudswas. For the kitchen and table together, there is the Tafel & Keuken onderhoudsset.
